The Mimo Baby Monitor

Developed by Rest Devices, the Mimo kimono is fitted with non-contact sensors that measure a baby’s respiration. When paired with the Mimo Turtle, it monitors an infant’s respiration, skin temperature, body position, and activity level. This data is sent to the Mimo Lilypad Base Station via an infant-safe Bluetooth Low Energy and pushed to Rest Device's servers.

The visualizations below are based on an anonymized data sample from 25 babies. The upper panel consists of per-baby box plots and gives an overview of the activity level distributions across these individuals. The bottom panel consists of four focus visualizations which rendered for the selected individual (clicked box plot).
